Quickstart

Get your first security project set up in LogicSite in under 5 minutes. By the end of this guide, you'll have a customer, a site, a project, and a floor plan ready for device placement.

LogicSite has two workspace types. Contractors use the Dashboard at /dashboard to manage customers and projects. Site Owners use the Portfolio at /portfolio to manage properties and vendors. This guide covers the contractor workflow — see Site Owner Overview if you're a facility manager.

Prerequisites

  • A LogicSite account (sign up at logicsite.pro)
  • A floor plan PDF or image of your job site

Step 1: Create Your First Customer

Every security project in LogicSite starts with a customer. From your dashboard, open the Customers section in the sidebar.

Click New Customer in the top-right corner.

Enter the customer's company name and primary contact information.

Click Create to save.

If you're a subcontractor, your customer is typically the general contractor or integrator you're working under. If you're the prime, your customer is the end client.

Step 2: Add a Site

Sites represent the physical locations where you'll be doing work. A customer can have multiple sites.

Open your newly created customer and navigate to the Sites tab.

Click Add Site and enter the site address and name.

Save the site.

Step 3: Create a Project

Projects are where you'll manage the actual scope of work — floor plans, devices, service requests, and team assignments.

Navigate to the Projects tab under your customer.

Click New Project and fill in the project name and details.

Select the site you just created and save the project.

Step 4: Upload a Floor Plan

Floor plans are the backbone of LogicSite. Upload your site drawings to start placing devices and annotations.

Open your project and go to the Floor Plans section.

Click Upload Floor Plan and select your PDF or image file.

LogicSite will process your file and display it on the interactive canvas.

LogicSite supports multi-page PDF files. Each page becomes a separate floor plan within your project.

Step 5: Place Your First Device

With your floor plan loaded, you can start placing security devices.

Select a device group type from the toolbar — cameras, access control, communications, panels, network, servers, or auxiliary.

Click on the floor plan to place the device at the desired location.

Fill in the device details — name, manufacturer, model, mounting type, and any relevant specifications.
