How does project creation work?

LogicSite supports two project creation flows. Contractors create projects under a customer and site (classic integrator workflow). Site owners create projects directly from a structure in their portfolio, upload design floor plans, invite contractors as isolated bidders (vendor_viewer), then select a winning contractor who is promoted to project manager. Both flows converge to the same five-phase workflow: Design → Install → Closeout → Substantial Completion → Completed.

What can I do with the floor plan editor?

Upload multi-page PDF or image floor plans (auto-rasterized to WebP server-side), place device group anchors with 103 device types, organize into groups, and visualize coverage with direction-aware camera cones and reader read-ranges. The editor supports realtime Figma-style cursors, six per-layer visibility presets, seven markup primitives (cloud, arrow, text, line, oval, rectangle, calibrated dimension), per-page scale calibration with measuring tool, server-side symbol detection, and a structure-owned version tree with change orders and named milestones.

How does the device grid work?

The Grid (also shown as Sheets) gives you a spreadsheet-style view of every device with inline editing, status cycling, bulk updates, CSV import, device photos, and a two-step test/acceptance workflow. Saved views store named combinations of columns, sort, filter, and grouping — scoped to a project or structure. Org-level custom fields support text, number, date, boolean, dropdown, and team-member types, extending any device type with attributes like asset tag or install crew.

What is the site owner portfolio?

Site owners get a dedicated workspace at /portfolio with a Figma-style file tree for sites, folders, and structures. Three site roles (Facility Manager, Coordinator, Occupant) control what each user can do. Facility managers manage structures, approve work, and sign off on closeouts. Coordinators handle vendor relationships. Occupants submit service requests and comment on projects. Portfolio KPIs open a device status drawer with click-to-navigate-and-pan drill-down, and the Pulse feed shows cross-project activity with PDF export.

How does closeout, handoff, and design sharing work?

When a project reaches Install, the contractor initiates a closeout walk and the project auto-advances to Closeout. Punch items flow through a 4-status workflow (Open → In Progress → Resolved → Accepted). When both parties sign off, the project auto-advances to Substantial Completion — the as-built is deep-copied and frozen and the warranty starts. For contractor projects, the as-built is delivered to the site owner via a claim code. Site owners can also share floor plans with external collaborators through Design Shares — claim-code invitations for up to 20 recipients per request (business emails only, 30-day expiry).

Can I control which notifications I receive?

Yes. A Notifications tab in settings lets each person tune delivery per topic — service requests, work orders, handoff and closeout, design sharing, project activity, mentions and invitations, and account notices — across email and push. Everything is on by default and you opt out of what you do not want. The in-app inbox always stays complete regardless of what you mute, so you only ever change what reaches your email and devices.

How does the project timeline work?

The Gantt timeline schedules project phases with day, week, and month views and dependency-aware drag-to-reschedule. Each phase can be assigned to a team member, and the timeline groups phases into per-person swimlanes so it is clear who owns each stage. Device rows can be dragged to set install and target-completion dates within their parent phase, and progress bars roll up from device completion status. Deadline alerts notify assignees ahead of a phase deadline and again when it goes overdue, with a configurable lead window and reminder cadence.

Is there a cross-project planner?

Yes. The Workspace Planner is one surface with two views: a week/month/year calendar of phase bars, scheduled work orders, service requests, and quick-capture tasks across every project you belong to, and a read-only cross-project Gantt. Work orders and tasks drag to reschedule, and clicking any item opens a quick-view summary with a deep link into the project.

Pricing is per internal seat and identical for contractors and owners: Starter at $30 per user per month ($300 per user per year) and Pro at $50 per user per month ($500 per user per year). Every new organization gets a 14-day full-access trial with no credit card, and external collaborators you invite — clients, vendors, guests — are always free.
