Dashboard Customization
Every user gets their own customizable dashboard. Layouts are stored per user, per tenant, and per surface — so your contractor dashboard, a structure overview, and a project workspace can each have a different widget arrangement tailored to how you work.

Not every widget is available on every surface — the catalog filters the list to what makes sense for the current scope.
Scopes and Surfaces
Layouts are keyed by userId / tenantId / scopeType / scopeId / surface. That means:
- Your personal contractor dashboard layout doesn't affect teammates.
- A structure overview layout is scoped to that structure and survives across sessions.
- Switching tenants (team switch) loads the layout saved for that tenant.
If you don't customize a surface, a sensible tier-aware default layout is rendered. The default changes based on your role (contractor vs site owner) and tier features.
Resetting a Layout
Open edit mode and use the overflow menu to Reset to Default. This deletes your saved layout for the current surface; the default renders immediately.
