Reports

The Reports page (in the main sidebar) has two sections:

  1. Project Reports — published, immutable progress updates across your projects. This is the page's default view; filter it by project, draft or published state, and health (covered in "Project report documents").
  2. Analytics — live, filterable dashboards you export to PDF (covered below). Pick a dashboard from the Analytics section of the sidebar.

Project report documents

A project report is a published document — a single, shareable page that leads with a health signal and snapshots your project's progress in time. It's the LogicSite equivalent of a Linear project update.

Anatomy of a report

  • Health headline — every report leads with On track, At risk, or Off track. This is your judgment, color-coded and scannable.
  • Hero metrics — devices installed, install %, open service requests, and open punch items, each with a delta versus your previous report.
  • Install progress — a segmented bar across the install lifecycle (planned → rough-in → cable pulled → terminated → mounted → programmed).
  • Trajectory — a burn-up of install % across your published reports. Each prior report is a point on the line — no separate setup.
  • Narrative — your summary plus optional Highlights / Risks / Next steps.

Writing and publishing

Open Reports from the sidebar and click New report, then pick the project the report is about (pre-selected when the list is filtered to one project).

Pick a health signal, write your summary, and (optionally) fill in Highlights, Risks, and Next steps. A live preview on the right shows exactly what publishes.

Choose visibility — Internal only (your team) or Shared with external (pick which client/vendor roles can see it). Save a draft to finish later, or Publish.

Publishing freezes the report. The metrics are snapshotted at that moment and never change, even as the project moves on — so old reports stay an honest record. Drafts are editable; published reports are not.

When you publish, everyone on the project (and any targeted client/vendor roles, for shared reports) gets a notification linking straight to the document. To save a PDF, open the report and use Print / Save as PDF.

Report Types (workspace analytics)

Project Status Overview

A high-level view of your projects:

  • KPIs — Total projects, completed count, completion rate percentage, and issues count
  • Distribution chart — Projects broken down by status (Design, Install, Closeout, Substantial Completion, Completed)
  • Trend chart — Monthly completion trend over time
  • Detail table — Project rows with customer name, site, status, and dates

Device Inventory & Health

A comprehensive look at your device fleet:

  • KPIs — Total devices, active count, issues count, and devices in maintenance
  • Distribution charts — Devices by group type and by operational status
  • Bar chart — Devices per structure for site-level analysis
  • Detail table — Device rows with type, category, status, and operational status

Activity & Audit Trail

A log of actions and events across your organization:

  • KPIs — Total events, unique users, top event type, and average events per day
  • Distribution chart — Events broken down by type
  • Trend chart — Daily activity trends
  • Detail table — Activity rows with user, project, action, and timestamp

Filtering Reports

All reports support filtering to narrow the data:

  • Date range — 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or all time
  • Project selector — Filter to specific projects (searchable by name or project number)
  • Report-specific filters:
    • Project Status: Filter by project phase using status pill buttons with count badges
    • Device Inventory: Filter by device group type
    • Activity Audit: Filter by event type

Filters sync to URL parameters, so you can bookmark or share a filtered report view.

Exporting Reports

Reports can be exported to PDF for sharing and archival:

Configure your filters to show the data you want in the report.

Click the Export button.

LogicSite generates a branded PDF with your organization name and logo, KPI summaries, charts, and detailed data tables.

Each exported PDF includes:

  • Organization branding in the header
  • Applied filters displayed for context
  • KPI strip with color-coded metrics
  • Distribution and trend visualizations
  • Detailed data tables
  • Page numbers and a unique report code in the footer

Generate a report at each major project milestone — after design approval, after installation, and at closeout. This creates a clear project history that's valuable for warranty, service, and future work at the same site.

Best Practices

  • Use date ranges — Narrow reports to relevant time periods for cleaner analysis
  • Filter by project — When preparing client deliverables, filter to their specific projects
  • Export at milestones — PDF exports create a permanent record of project state at key moments
  • Share with stakeholders — Reports are an easy way to keep clients and management informed
