Managing Customers

Customers are the foundation of your work in LogicSite. Whether you're a security integrator managing dozens of commercial clients or a contractor with a handful of key accounts, the customer system keeps everything organized.

Why Customers Matter

Every project in LogicSite belongs to a customer. This hierarchy — Customer > Site > Project — mirrors how most security contractors actually operate:

  • A customer is your client (the building owner, general contractor, or end user)
  • A customer has one or more sites (physical locations)
  • Each site can have multiple projects (scope of work at that location)

Creating a Customer

Click Customers in the sidebar to open your customer list.

Click New Customer in the top-right corner.

Enter the customer's company name and primary contact details — name, email, phone.

Click Create to save.

Use the official company name your team will recognize. If you're a subcontractor, your customer is usually the general contractor or integrator, not the end user.

Customer Details

Each customer record stores:

  • Company name — The primary identifier across LogicSite
  • Contact information — Name, email, phone for the primary point of contact
  • Sites — All physical locations associated with this customer
  • Projects — Active and completed projects across all sites

Finding Customers

As your customer list grows, use the search bar at the top of the Customers page to quickly find any account. You can search by company name or contact name.

Best Practices

  • One customer per client — Don't duplicate customer records. Instead, add multiple sites under a single customer.
  • Keep contacts current — Update contact information when your point of contact changes. This keeps project communication accurate.
  • Use consistent naming — Establish a naming convention for your team (e.g., "ABC Corporation" vs "ABC Corp" vs "ABC").
