The Sheets Grid & BOM
The Sheets tab gives you a spreadsheet-style view of every device in the project — the fastest way to work device data in bulk without touching the floor plan.
Working in the Grid
- Inline editing — click a cell to edit labels, status, dates, network fields, and more.
- Status cycling and bulk updates — select many rows and change them together.
- CSV import — bring in device lists from takeoffs or legacy spreadsheets.
- Device photos — attach and review photos right from the row.
- Add rows before drawings exist — devices added from the grid land in an unplaced group you can place on a floor plan later, so spreadsheet-first workflows (FF&E lists, early procurement) work from day one.
Saved Views
A saved view stores a named combination of columns, sort, filter, and grouping, scoped to the project or structure you're in. Build the view once — "Commissioning punch", "Network fields only" — and switch between views instantly. Starter plans include 3 saved views; Pro is unlimited.
Custom Fields
Org admins can define custom fields (text, number, date, checkbox, dropdown, team member) that appear as extra columns on every device — asset tags, install crew, IP schedules, whatever your workflow tracks.
Phase Columns
When your project uses timeline phases, the grid connects to them three ways:

| Per-phase columns (opt-in) | A dedicated status column per phase — enable the one or two you're working via the column picker |
| Focus (toolbar) | Pick a phase to filter the grid to its devices and pin that phase's status column up front |
Focus is the field-crew mode: "today we do Trim" becomes one click — only Trim's devices, with Trim's status column ready to update as you go.
File Attachments
The files column shows a paperclip count of documents attached to each device. Select multiple rows and use Attach document to link one document — a shared spec sheet, for instance — to fifty cameras at once. See Documents & Files for how device attachments work.
The BOM View
Switch the Sheets tab to the BOM view for a read-only bill of materials:
- Every placed device rolled up by device type + manufacturer + model + part number, with quantities
- A cable parts list derived from the project's cable rollup
Because the BOM is computed live from what's actually on the plan, it never drifts from the design. Assigning products from your organization's catalog keeps manufacturer and model data consistent, so the rollup reflects real purchasable hardware.
The BOM is visible to your team and the owner side, but never on bidding or external customer surfaces — pricing-sensitive quantities stay private.
